meet the pastors.

Pastor Alfred’s journey took a different path. He moved to Hong Kong in 1990 as an engineer, building a career in the field. However, he felt a calling greater than his profession—a longing to serve God and to spread the Gospel.

In 2003, he took a bold step of faith, leaving his engineering career to fully commit to ministry. He and Pastor Oral have served together in the ministry ever since.

For over 20 years, Pastor Oral Guevara and Pastor Alfred Felisilda have dedicated their lives to ministry in Hong Kong, serving the Filipino community with faith, love, and a vision for a church that feels like home. Their journey—from different backgrounds but with the same calling—led to the founding of OWFCI, a place where Filipinos in Hong Kong can worship, grow in faith, and find a family in Christ.

Pastor Oral’s calling to ministry began in the Philippines, where he pastored a church in [CITY/REGION] by the age of [AGE]. His passion for shepherding God’s people led him to accept an invitation in [YEAR] to join the pastoral staff of an international church in Hong Kong. For decades, he faithfully served in this role, guiding and nurturing the faith of countless individuals. Yet, a dream remained in his heart—to establish a Filipino-led church that could minister not only to fellow overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) but also have a broader impact beyond borders.

Both pastors carried a shared burden—to create a spiritual home where Filipinos in Hong Kong could worship freely, be discipled, and experience a deep sense of community. They prayed faithfully for guidance, and in 2016, after years of seeking God’s direction, they took the leap of faith to establish OWFC.

What started as a vision soon became a reality, and in December 2016, after months of searching, they secured a space in Eastern Centre, officially opening the church’s doors in 2017. Since then, God has continued to bless and expand the ministry, growing OWFCI not just in numbers but in impact, strengthening the faith of Filipinos far from home.
